We undertake a wide range of projects in this field for clients that include the Environment Agency and most of the North East Local Authorities.
The work carried out for the Environment Agency includes the strengthening and stabilisation of weirs; river protection and construction of gabion walls and mattresses; repairs to and replacement of revetments; concrete repairs to river structures and the construction of new concrete works. Many of the works require extensive temporary works, including dams, river diversions and overpumping of river flows.
In the leisure field, we have undertaken many different projects for a wide range of public and private sector clients. Recently, we have constructed a new leisure area regeneration scheme with a value in excess of £1m for Hartlepool Borough Council at Block Sands, on the Headland. This project required early contractor involvement and we worked with the Borough Council in the spirit of partnering to enable delivery of a high profile quality project. We have also recently completed a world class Skatepark for City of Sunderland, which features concrete bowls, ramps, steps, grind rails and many more street features to cater for a wide range of skater and BMX cyclist skills.
