Lumsden & Carroll Construction has extended its areas of activity over the years beyond Civil Engineering, to include Building. In this area of operation, the projects undertaken are mainly in the industrial and commercial sectors, and include the construction of factory extensions, office blocks and industrial buildings.
The Company recently completed the design and construction of a new office headquarters, workshops, fabrication shop and storage units for Esh Group, of which it is a founder member. The value of the whole project was £3.5m, and the office block consists of a 2 storey steel framed building with brick/block cladding and a glazed feature entrance.
One of our blue chip clients is the Yum Group, whose trading companies include KFC and Pizza Hut. We built 3 projects recently for this client, each to very tight construction programmes that have been critical to launch dates. We have ensured that all opening dates have been achieved.
Building work recently commenced includes two high profile projects with a total value of £5.5m. The first of these projects, Stanley Bus Station, is a key transport interchange which forms an integral part of the regeneration of Stanley Town Centre. The other project is the construction of a purpose built office headquarters at Monkton Business Park for VATECH.
