The culture of Lumsden & Carroll Construction is founded on family values and a “can do” attitude that focuses on the customer.
The Company places the highest value on establishing and maintaining close working relationships with its clients through which trust and mutual respect can be developed. This has been, and still is, one of the foundation blocks of the Company which has enabled steady and continuous growth over more than 30 years. We follow a proactive approach directed at meeting client needs and those of the communities in which we operate.
As a Company that was founded in North East England, and which operates predominantly in the North East, we are very aware of the community in which we operate. We believe that our place in our community brings corporate responsibility and requires a special business focus that is beyond an outlook focused purely on commercial success. We care about our community, and we place this high on our list of business priorities.
Every activity that we undertake has an effect on the community, both at local and regional level. In order to bring positive outcomes to the community through what we do, we consider the environmental, social and economic value of our activity on every project we undertake. Through what we do and how we do it:
Lumsden & Carroll Construction is a direct employer of approximately 380 people, who all live in the community, and who care about this community. They understand the needs of what is their community, and they recognise the positive difference that the Company, through each of them, can make to their community. We believe that through the nature of Lumsden & Carroll Construction, we are able to play an active part in maintaining the well being of our community that is fairly unique in our field.
