Lumsden & Carroll Construction is a Company that cares for its employees, its supply chain members, its clients and its environment.
We realise that we do not work in isolation to all that is happening around us, and we carry out what we do mindful of the impact that our activities might bring to people and their living or working place.
We are proud of what we have achieved in the three decades that have passed since we were formed, and we still hold the core family orientated values with which we started. Our main strength are the people who make the Company what it is: without them, we have nothing to offer our clients. To support and develop our employees, we operate a comprehensive Training Scheme for all grades and disciplines of personnel in the organisation. Employees are actively encouraged and financially supported to seek further qualifications for their personal development and the corporate growth of Lumsden & Carroll.
Lumsden & Carroll achieved ‘Investors in People’ status in 2000, having received the award at the first attempt. We believe that this is a true reflection of what the Company has been doing in human relations for many years. This award was retained after the re-inspection of the Company in 2005, which further demonstrates how we value our most important asset.
The Company is proud of its good Health and Safety record. The Company Health & Safety Policy is constantly reviewed and updated to meet legislative changes and developments. Specific Health & Safety training is delivered to employees both in the classroom setting and in the workplace using external and in-house personnel.
We are acutely aware of our impact upon the environment, and we act to minimise any negative effects of our activity, and make full use of sustainable materials and methods. In late 2006, we achieved ISO 14001 Accreditation for our Environmental Management System.
Our core objectives of quality and continuous improvement in all areas of service delivery are practised throughout the company and are reflected in all operations. The Company has operated a third party accredited Quality Management System since May 1996, and through our strict maintenance of high standards we believe all stakeholders gain maximum benefit.
We see ourselves as a vital and integrated part of the communities within which we live, work and play and we seek out ways in which we can support and improve the lives of others.
