Project Description
The DiscoveryMuseum is the Region’s biggest free entry museum and it attracts over 450,000 visitors per year with its magnificent range of historical industrial displays.

Our work included the construction of an impressive entry atrium leading to the ship, Turbinia, which is the world’s first turbine-powered vessel. We also carried out work to the upper viewing gallery walkways and constructed a new visitor centre and shop.

Works were also carried out to the upper floor chamber, including high quality refurbishment of period architectural features such as the cast iron vaulted roof members, oak panelling, spectators’ gallery, re-wiring and period lighting..
