
Lumsden & Carroll Construction does not style itself on a hierarchical management structure with layer upon layer of tiers. The Company believes that the most efficient management structure should have no more than 3 tiers between the Managing Director and those employees delivering the operation on the ground.
The philosophy of the Company’s flat management structure originates from the very simple model established in the early days of the business. The Management knew every aspect of business activity, and the operational team had direct contact with the Management.
As the Company expanded, the need to strengthen the management structure was of prime importance. This need, however, was not to be fulfilled at the expense of our hands-on management approach that empowers each layer of our structure without abandoning responsibility.
Today, the management team, led by Managing Director John Davies, works together as an integrated and effective well tuned unit. John is supported by a strong Senior Management team.
