Client: Gentoo Housing
Location: Sunderland
Contract Value: £0.56 million
Contract Period: February 2008 until May 2009
The works, which was part of the re-development of what were the first million pound houses in Sunderland, consisted of the re-modeling of the existing garden areas.
Works included the construction of a new stone clad retaining wall to the front, boundary walls to the rear, new paving and surfacing throughout, reconstruction of the existing light wells and modification of the old drainage works. Further to this we were awarded the contract for the construction of the new floor slabs to the existing basements.
Funded by both Gentoo Developments and the English National Heritage trust, the works make up a new living development, compromising a mix of four storey town houses and modern apartments, sitting on the outskirts of Sunderland City Centre. Working closely with the clients and the new tenants we were able to tailor the garden designs to suit, to the complete satisfaction of the client end user.
