Stephen Wilkie – Divsional Director
Stephen has full responsibility for Lumsden & Carroll Civil Engineering. His responsibilities include the overall management of a wide range of Civil Engineering Framework Projects, including Highways Construction, Environmental Improvement Schemes, Bridge Construction and Refurbishment, and Roads & Sewers.
Stephen has extensive construction experience gained over a period of 20 years in various posts with Lumsden & Carroll. His experience ranges from measurement, valuation, estimating to operational and contract management and management of site operations. Stephen is focused on clients’ needs, and encourages the creation of professional and collaborative working relationships.
David Pratt – Construction Director
David has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry and uses this in his role as Construction Director, with responsibility for all major Framework Contracts including; Northumbrian Water Ltd, Yorkshire Water Ltd and The Environment Agency. His enthusiasm and commitment to a ‘right first time’ approach, is passed through his various teams and enables him to build trusting and open relationships at all levels, both within the company and with our clients.
Steven Conn – Operations Director
Steve joined Lumsden and Carroll in 1999 and was promoted to Construction Director in 2004 and Operations Director in 2009 and takes full responsibility for all construction activities in the company. He leads a large multi disciplinary team; he is totally customer focused; and his personable approach fosters and supports a partnering approach to service delivery.
His breadth of experience combined with a practical hands on approach has significantly contributed to the company’s growth. Prior to working at Lumsden & Carroll, Steve worked for 11 years with Kvaerner Construction on a variety of heavy civil engineering and construction projects.
Martin O’Connelley – Commercial Director
Martin joined Lumsden & Carroll in 2010, bringing with him over 20 years of experience in the construction industry. Martin’s diverse experience, across a range of market sectors, and a good working knowledge of partnerships has provided him with the knowledge and flexibility to adapt too many different environments.
Martin is familiar with partnering forms of contract and has been actively involved in partnerships with the Highways Agency, Environment Agency, Northumberland County Council and Northumbrian Water. Martin is a good communicator experienced in leading input in the risk management process.
Michael Henderson – Surveying Director
Michael has worked for Lumsden & Carroll for approaching 20 years within the Commercial Departments and now oversees all Housing Infrastructure projects in his roll as Surveying Director. Michael’s hands on, personable approach is channeled through his large, multi diverse construction and commercial teams to allow close working relationships with a variety of major private development clients. His in-depth knowledge of the business allows him to review operational and commercial methods and drive efficiencies throughout the business as a whole.
